A unit experienced unexpected critical trips traced to sporadic reboots of a Mark VIe PCAA I/O pack. Using advanced diagnostics and firmware review, SISO discovered the installed revision rebooted unpredictably every ~300 days. After a firmware upgrade, the issue was fully resolved and no trips reoccurred after one year of operation.
